OCASI - Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants in collaboration with Toronto Public Health and the Toronto Newcomer Office invites you to: Promoting the Mental Health of Newcomer Clients.

This one day symposium will address the following questions:

  • What is mental health promotion?
  • Why is it so important for agencies and front-line workers serving newcomers to promote client mental health?
  • What are some strategies that settlement agencies and front-line workers can use to promote client mental health?

The symposium will also serve as a launch for OCASI’s Mental Health Promotion Guide for Agencies Serving Immigrants and Refugees in Ontario, a document that will help agencies and front-line workers develop policies and practices that promote refugee and newcomer clients’ mental health.

Please note that we are unable to cover travel and accommodation costs for participants at this time.
