Migrants Resource Centre Canada invites you to a Free Volunteer-Training Workshop: Canadian Immigration Policy and Labour Laws.

IMPACT Project is a seven-month project of the Migrants Resource Centre Canada (MRCC), which aims to build our organizational capacity so that we can more effectively carry out our mandate of improving the lives of migrant and immigrants workers by promoting their rights and dignity in Canada.

IMPACT Project has three components:

  1. Volunteer-recruitment and training
  2. Website development and e-capacity-building
  3. Development of a fundraising strategy

Through this project, MRCC will strengthen our governance and build partnerships, build our online and social media presence, establish an overall external communication strategy, and expand our pool of volunteers. As a whole, IMPACT will increase our ability to promote inclusion and diversity in Canada.

Canadian Immigration Policy and Labour Laws Workshop

This workshop will focus on relevant federal immigration policies and provincial labour laws that affect workers lives daily. It will provide an opportunity for the participants to gain a basic understanding of relevant laws and learn the rights of residents in Canada.

  • Sol Pajadura, Chairperson, Migrante Canada
  • Alex Banaag, National Representative, United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW)
