Credential assessment is the process in which an individual’s foreign education, including degrees, diplomas, and certificates are validated to the Canadian standard. It is a tool used by employers and educational institutions to assess international qualifications. Credential assessments are available from a number of different service providers. The type of services available varies according to the types of assessments offered by the service provider, the kinds of documents they assess and the fees they charge. Next Stop Canada is a FREE online platform designed to provide information and support to immigrant families before they arrive in Canada. Next Stop Canada is delivered by YMCA of Greater Toronto and funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The program focuses on preparing and informing participants about the process of moving and life in Canada, as well as connecting them to inland community services fit for their individual needs. To access these FREE online programs participants must have received official approval to proceed in the permanent residence application process from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and currently reside outside of Canada.
