Rexdale Women's Centre invites you to attend two virtual workshops that have been developed to further the work achieved by our Supporting Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence in RAP centres project. These workshops will provide an opportunity for organizations to increase their understanding and utilization of the resources, training materials, and protocol development process outlined and accessible through the rapworkers.com training platform.

Training #1: Protocol Development

This 60-minute webinar will offer settlement organizations:

  • An overview of the project protocol
  • A protocol framework tool
  • An opportunity for knowledge exchange
  • A forum to ask questions regarding the development process

The protocol has been an important part of the Recognizing and Responding to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) for Refugee Resettlement Assistance Programs in Ontario project to improve and standardize organizational response to intimate partner violence throughout RAP centres. The goal is for agencies to outline effective practices for individuals (and families) who are at-risk or experiencing IPV.
