The Workforce Pathways in Seniors Healthcare for Women project offers a solution that brings together key stakeholders to co-design an end-to-end solution to upskill and place immigrant & racialized women in the GTA into sustainable careers in seniors’ healthcare. The project will leverage an integrated workforce development service model to help women secure meaningful careers while meeting labour market demands & employers’ talent needs for a resilient and vibrant workforce.

Positions Summary:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will utilize their previous experience to work with key stakeholders to develop a tailored curriculum for an online pre-employment training program. Organize and facilitate the delivery of customized virtual workshops; assist and support program participants in developing a career and employment plan based on a thorough assessment and provide them with opportunities for skills enhancement and connections with employers.

Duties & Responsabilities:

  • Assist the Manager by working in partnership with key stakeholders to develop a customized program curriculum, training, and employment placement of program participants with employment partners.
  • ssist the Project Manager with outreach/marketing, recruitment, screening, and selecting applicants for the program.
  • Facilitate and deliver customized workshops online workshops and related activities such as liaising with subject matter experts, recruiting guest speakers, and conducting a one-to-one assessment, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Provide assistance/backup as needed to the Workforce Development Coaches as needed.
  • Collect and analyze statistics and program evaluation data and draft monthly/quarterly reports for review by the Project Manager.
  • In-depth case management, including detailed notes and entry into a database.
  • Assist clients with building a portfolio that highlights their employability.
  • Provide mentorship to clients with the clear express purpose of coaching them for the Canadian workplace.
  • Provide career exploration, identification, and clarification of interests, abilities, skills, education, and experience related to short- and long-term career and employment goals in a group or individual setting.
  • Support individuals for disclosure of disabilities that may affect employment participation.
  • Provide support to clients in assessing their qualifications against job requirements.
  • Provide information about and access to professional accreditation, language credentials, and prior learning assessments.
  • Provide supported referral and access to other services, including but not limited to education & training.
  • Contact participants after the program ends to offer further individual assistance and determine their achievements in their career action plans.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, social services, or related area.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with newcomer and racialized women in an employment-related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in some or all aspects of job search, coaching, mentoring, and case management.
  • Minimum 2 years experience facilitating job search-related workshops with knowledge of current job search techniques and assessment tools in a group setting to adult learners.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LMI, job search, recruitment and community resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups – particularly newcomer and racialized women.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community resources, programs, and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
    Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • >Goal-oriented, highly organized, flexible and adaptable: with superior time management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and online platforms.
  • Personality Dimensions, MBTI, COP System or Life Skills Certification, is an asset.
