Position Overview:
The Human Resources and Operations Administrator will be responsible for providing operational management to the organization regarding human resources and office administration.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day office operations
- Administration of the human resources (HR) policies, procedures, and programs
- Ensure legislative compliance
- Organize and participate in the recruitment, onboarding and off boarding process for staff
- Draft employment letters
- Create and maintain records of employee information
- Exercise good judgement while dealing with human resource issues and provides early disclosure of potential and sensitive human resource issues to their Manager or Executive Director
- Keeps track of new and departed employees each month
- Responsible for staff inquiries associated with their position status, pay, entitlements
- General administration and operations as directed by the Executive Director
Qualifications:
Education
- Successful completion of post-secondary education, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in HR
- Minimum two (2) years of related professional experience in human resources
- Highly proficient in Windows environments, MS Office Suite, Internet search and social media tools
Knowledge and Experience
Skills
- Fluency in English is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills: positive, enthusiastic, collaborative, and solution-focused
- Exceptional proofreading skills and scrupulous attention to details
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meets deadlines and works effectively under pressure
- Proven strength to work independently with minimal supervision and able to take initiative
- Results-oriented, proactive and resourceful with a quality standards approach
- Satisfactory results in Vulnerable Sector Screening
