Catholic Crosscultural Services - CCS is a settlement agency providing a range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status. CCS is the lead agency for four partner agencies involved in the Toronto East Quadrant LIP Project. We are seeking a full-time LIP Manager to manage and support the work of the Toronto East Quadrant LIP Project.


  • Work with the four partner agencies to collectively accomplish the goals of the Toronto East Quadrant LIP
  • Plan, develop and supervise all aspects of the LIP Project
  • Ensure delivery of project activities including building partnerships, increasing stakeholder engagement and developing strategic plans
  • In collaboration with the LIP stakeholders, develop and implement the Scarborough Newcomer Settlement strategy
  • Chair Partnership Council meetings; chair working group meetings as required
  • Supervise, evaluate and develop the LIP staff
  • Build partnerships with service providers and other neighbourhood stakeholders
  • Represent the Toronto East LIP at city-wide, provincial and national LIP initiatives as appropriate
  • Collect, tabulate and prepare project statistics, reports, financial and other information as required, including monthly reports, employee payroll and other financial information
  • Ensure the collection, analysis and dissemination of relevant research and community input to all LIP stakeholders
  • Evaluate project delivery, develop solutions and make recommendations for project improvement
  • Assist Regional Manager and Finance Director with the preparation of claims, reports and funding applications


  • Degree or Diploma in Social Work or Settlement Counselling from a recognized institution or equivalent training in the Human Services
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in project management
  • Demonstrated financial management, strategic planning and program evaluation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and supervise employees
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including organizations, institutions and community members, to ensure project activities are delivered and project goal are accomplished
  • Extensive knowledge of community resources and services in Scarborough
  • Knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to issues affecting newcomer residents in Scarborough
  • Excellent leadership, communication, planning, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work productively in an MS Office environment; knowledge and ability to use social media and online tools an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in French is an asset
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills with participants, other agencies and the public
  • Significant travel within Toronto is required; a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and use of a car is an asset

Hours per week: 35 hours/week, including evenings and weekends; occasional overtime required
Salary: Between $64,000 to $66,000 annually
Location: Scarborough
