Management of Immigrant Youth Centre:

  • Provide leadership and effective management to a team of youth settlement and support staff
  • Develop and maintain service delivery partnerships with institutions and other community service providers to broaden our outreach to clients and facilitate access to settlement services
  • Ensure the quality, effectiveness, and timeliness of programs delivered within the area of responsibilities to meet the emerging needs of clients
  • Monitor trends and changes in client demographics/needs, and modify program plans accordingly
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of outcome measures for programs
  • Provide timely and accurate program and operation status updates and various reports to Program Director
  • Ensure the timely collection and entry of service data onto the agency database and reporting of all relevant data on iCARE
  • Collaborate closely with other CICS Program Managers to increase and enhance program and service coordination
  • Ensure compliance of policies, standards, guidelines, and quality controls set by CICS
  • Ensure that the workplaces, program services, and activities comply with all health and safety, regulatory and other legislated requirements
  • Monitor day to day program budget, expenditures and use of resources

Management of CICS’ Social Media and Digital Marketing Operations:

  • Work with other CICS Program Managers to review current programs and services to design/ update an effective social media marketing strategy, using all popular platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, WeChat) to increase awareness of and access to CICS’ programs and services
  • Deploy well-developed strategies to promote brand awareness and online presence of CICS
  • Maintain content of the IYC website and CICS social media accounts with relevant and up-to-date information
  • Keep abreast of latest technologies, trends, and applications in social media
  • Function as a subject matter advisor within CICS to assist the agency in developing its social media presence


  • A minimum of a university in Social Sciences or a related discipline, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferable management in non-profit settings
  • Demonstrated leadership/management experiences in working with newcomer youth
  • Experience and certified qualifications in social media and digital marketing a strong asset
  • Excellent knowledge of cultural and social backgrounds of immigrants and refugees, including their settlement and integration issues both general and specific
  • Proven abilities in program organization, community outreach and working with diverse cultures
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with knowledge on motivation, team building, effective decision making, delegation, conflict management, and problem-solving
  • Experienced in budget and resource management
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English, public speaking and report writing skills; proficiency in an additional second language relevant to the community is a strong asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills required to work with clients, team members and the general public
  • Knowledge of information gathering tools and techniques
  • Ability to manage time, stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform detailed planning, information analysis, and report preparation
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications, E-mail, Internet, and social media tools
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and use of a car
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening is mandatory

Hours: 35 hours per week; may work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and some holidays
Salary: Commensurate with experience
