Research Partnership Lead
(Contract – May 25 – September 30, 2021)
CCS is a settlement agency providing a range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status
and is the lead agency for the Toronto East Quadrant Local Immigration Partnership (TEQ LIP). CCS is seeking a full-time
Research Partnership Lead for our Scarborough Newcomer Needs and Trends Update project. This position will work in
partnership with the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus and the Toronto East Quadrant Local Immigration
Partnership to implement a collaborative data pooling and analysis project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Work in close collaboration with the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus and service provider organizations
from across Scarborough implement and evaluate a model for collaborative data pooling and analysis
 Plan, coordinate and facilitate meetings with participating agencies
 Implement relevant policies, protocols and procedures to guide data-sharing and analysis
 Engage organizations, plan and facilitate stakeholder meetings
 Ensure partnership agreements with participating organizations are in place
 Work with project partners and the University of Toronto Scarborough staff, IT consultants and university students
to implement and make adjustments to the data platform and facilitate data pooling and analysis
 Contribute to data analysis and produce update report on newcomer settlement needs and trends in Scarborough
 Plan, coordinate and facilitate capacity-building workshops for service providers
 Work closely with a consultant to develop and conduct project evaluations as required by funding contracts and
project needs
 Manage project delivery to meet project outcomes and contractual obligations
 Prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical and project reports as required
 Work with other Program Managers to ensure collaborative program delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

 The minimum required is post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field
 A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management and leading projects that involve multiple stakeholders
 Skills and experience conducting research and data analysis; familiarity with data sources related to immigration
and settlement, data analysis methods and related software is an asset
 Proven ability to work in multi-stakeholder partnership projects and to develop productive working relationships
with diverse partner organizations
 Knowledge of issues and barriers experienced by newcomers
 Extensive knowledge of the organizational landscape in Scarborough and a demonstrated understanding of
organizational data collection and management systems
 Demonstrated skills in planning, organization and time management
 Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
 Demonstrated interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills required to work with team members,
partner organizations and the general public
 Advanced skills working productively in an MS Office environment, comfortable using electronic databases
 Excellent verbal and written skills in English; fluency in French is a definite asset
 Solid analytical and research skills; ability to produce clear written reports
 Possession of a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a car is an asset.
 A clear, mandatory criminal check must be presented before starting position
 Ability to work in various locations across Scarborough

Location: Toronto
Salary: $60,000 - $63,000 (pro-rated) per annum, plus 4% vacation
Hours of work: Minimum 35 hrs. per week. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required
