The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister, John McCallum has announced that Canada will welcome 300,000 immigrants in 2017.
More Information:
This number is the same as the 2016 target, but with slight changes in the distribution between immigration classes. Within this plan, the number of permanent residents selected in economic programs will increase. Planned admissions of resettled refugees will decrease when compared to the 2016 target, but the family class levels will increase.
