Community Mental Health Ambassador

Reporting to the Settlement Manager and working closely with the Mental Health Workers, Crisis Counsellor, and Community-based Volunteers, the Community Mental Health Ambassador is responsible for providing culturally specific community outreach, education, information, promote awareness of mental health services and to promote help-seeking behaviours, and refer community members to mental health resources and supports in Peel.

Community Connections Facilitator

The Community Connections program aims to build resilient and integrated communities by matching established Canadian volunteers with newcomer families, individuals, youth and seniors in supportive relationships that will enhance their ability to integrate and successfully settle in their communities. The incumbent is responsible for planning and facilitating community-based mentoring programs, activities and volunteer-led mentoring projects and organizing activities to provide newcomers with opportunities to engage with the broader community and obtain greater familiarity with Canadian society, their community and local resources.

Coordinator-E-Mental Wellbeing Program

Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS) is a pioneer community-based, not-for-profit, charitable organization. PCHS has been fulfilling the needs of diverse populations for 33 years by providing services for addictions, mental health, geriatric, health promotion, domestic violence, parenting,
settlement and services for women, children and youth. PCHS has several research studies to its credit and is recognized for being an innovative organization and its Integrated Holistic Service Delivery Model (IHSDM). PCHS is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International and Imagine Canada. PCHS is 2SLGBTQ sensitive organization.
