Intake Worker/Coordinator - LINC

The Intake Worker / Coordinator - LINC position is funded by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This position will facilitate the arrival of immigrants, provide protection to refugees, and offer programming to help newcomers settle in Canada. The ultimate outcome of the program is to help newcomers become fully engaged in all aspects of Canadian life – social, economic, political and cultural.

Employment Services Coordinator

The ES Coordinator is required to support and supervise the ES team with daily operations pertaining to all Employment Service components, including all key principles that guide the service delivery model. The ES Coordinator will work with all team members to plan, implement, and evaluate service strategies and organizational operating/business plans, to achieve the target of overall employment service quality as per the Funder Agreement. The incumbent will also ensure professional operation and availability of all resources, information and tools necessary for the successful delivery of the full spectrum of ES services.

Settlement Counsellor-MWP

The settlement counsellor is responsible for delivering direct services, including information and referral to migrant workers from various ethnic groups upon their arrival at Pearson International Airport. The counsellor is responsible for record-keeping, data entry and report preparation. Additional responsibilities include compiling information on community and government resources available for migrant workers and keeping it up to date; work cooperatively with others, demonstrate flexibility in organizing work, show a high degree of initiative, discernment, and resourcefulness, must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate thoughtfulness in decision-making.

Addictions Counsellor

This position will provide counselling, and outreach to increase access to additional community-based services using harm reduction approach, guided self-change, relapse prevention, link to primary care if needed, follow up and after care. This position will help ‘boost access to community based withdrawal management services and addictions programs to ensure clients with opioid addictions have access to holistic supports that address the underlying factors leading to addiction’.

Resettlement Counsellor- Dari/Pashto Speaking (Mat leave)

Responsible for the delivery of all components of Client Support Services (CSS) program and supporting resettlement of government assisted refugees for one year after their arrival to Canada. This will include the provision of centralised case management, service coordination, coaching and regular follow-up to ensure that refugees are connected to and participate in local programs that address their needs.
