Community Justice Coordinator (CJC)

Community Justice Coordinator (CJC) is a dedicated, full-time non-legal resource based in the Brampton courthouse that encourages timely resolutions of eligible criminal cases by helping accused individuals connect with meaningful community-based programs. CJC must have extensive knowledge of program and service offerings based in the community and work with Crowns and defence/duty counsel to help accused individuals by connecting with supports best positioned to address their needs through early intervention. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating various programs including, and not limited to, Justice Services, Employment, Basic Needs, Education, Housing, Physical Health, Mental Health & Addictions, and Indigenous Restorative Justice Diversion Programs.

ACCES Employment is a leader in connecting qualified jobseekers from diverse backgrounds with employers across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario and Canada. ACCES helps more than 40,000 job seekers each year at seven locations in the GTA. As a charitable not-for-profit organization, ACCES provides job search services that connect newcomers, jobseekers, youth, women and refugees to jobs that reflect their skills and experience. Employer Liaison-Preparing Women and Workplaces for Success (2 positions available)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Facilitate work opportunities and negotiation of employment relationships on behalf of clients and with employers that include training objectives and commitments
· Develop a training plan with the Employer and the participant
· Conduct outreach to Employers to identify networking and other opportunities
· Ensure that employers meet all eligibility criteria, conduct at least one site visit per Employer prior to placements to confirm a suitable and safe work environment.

Addictions Case Manager

PCHS is seeking to hire a full-time Addictions Case Manager to increase access to new intensive addiction day treatment services for youth and adults. This intensive addiction day treatment service is a partnership among the Peel Addiction Assessment Referral Centre (PAARC), Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS), and William Osler Health System (WOHS). The Addictions Case Manager will work as a multidisciplinary team member to develop services that accept and support clients receiving Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT), conduct risk and safety assessments, and support and connect the client with the community's appropriate resources. The Case Manager will also provide support to the client's family members and requires strong case management skills, group facilitation skills, and supportive counselling skills to provide care both in-person and using virtual platforms.
