School Settlement Counsellor - Dari Speaking

Brampton Multicultural Community Centre (BMC) is a charitable organization, established in Peel Region in 1987. Its mandate and core business is to enable newcomers, immigrant individuals and families to achieve their full potential and become productive participants in their adopted land. The School Settlement Counsellor will provide settlement and counselling support services in first language to students and parents to ensure that newcomer families are aware of and enabled to access the full array of community services.

LINC Instructor - Supply

Muslim Community Services (MCS) is a group of diverse professionals dedicated to enhancing newcomer community engagement. Our agency was established in 1987 as a non-profit organization to serve and work with newcomers to facilitate their settlement and integration into Canada. We offer a wide range of services and learning opportunities to connect newcomers to a better future in the ever changing Canadian society. Your position as a LINC Instructor -Supply is to provide language training to newcomers using innovative methods in conjunction with the curriculum.

FRENCH INSTRUCTOR – SATURDAYS

Administrative Assistant (2 positions)

The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks including documentation, scheduling, creating resources and providing support to HR and Operations departments.
The administrative assistant position will help us with running the daily operations of our health, settlement and social services, which serve various vulnerable populations. The local priorities this position meets includes: projects supporting community based organizations, health care and social assistance, seniors and newcomers/refugees.

Caseworker - Social Work (4 Positions)

The Caseworker - social work positions will help to serve various vulnerable people in our health, settlement and social services programs. The Caseworker will be working in our Geriatrics, Settlement, Addictions and Mental Health programs. The local priorities this position meets includes: projects supporting community based organizations, health care and social assistance, seniors and newcomers/refugees.

"I Am Still Me" - Understanding Mental Health through theatrical performances.

Join us to learn about mental and emotional health in a unique and most interesting format of theatre and informative discussion . "I Am Still Me" Presentation of 3 skits on Depression , Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. Theatrical performances will be followed by Q&A session with Dr. Kanwal D.S. Kukreja MBBS DCH FRCP(C)

We offer a wide range of services and learning opportunities to connect participants to a better future. MCS is looking to hire a LINC Coordinator to administer, guide and develop the key initiatives to enhance the language capacity of newcomers to integrate faster into Canadian society. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Executive Director or his/her designate.
