Manager, Employment Services, Mississauga

ACCES Employment is a leader in connecting qualified jobseekers from diverse backgrounds with employers across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, and Canada. ACCES helps more than 40,000 jobseekers each year at seven locations in the GTA. As a charitable not-for-profit organization, ACCES provides job search services that connect newcomers, jobseekers, youth, women, and refugees to jobs that reflect their skills and experience. We provide over 35 customized job search programs that meet the unique needs of our jobseekers.

Clinical Counsellor

Brampton Multicultural Centre (BMC) is a charity, established in 1987, that provides settlement and social services to newcomer, immigrant and the larger community in the Peel Region. Our mandate is to enable less advantaged individuals, families and groups in the community to achieve their potential, improve their life skills and build their futures. BMC also offers a variety of programs and services to assist youth, develop their leadership skills, enhance their community engagement and prepare them to meet the needs of the present labour market. The Clinical Counsellor will be working as a key member of our youth team and will be primarily responsible for the delivery of mental health supports, crisis intervention, trauma informed care, individual / family case management, advocacy and consultation for young adults involved with guns, and gang related offences.

Employer Liaison

Employer Liaison under the Job Search Assisted Component of Employment Services (ES) will focus on assisting individuals who require an experiential placement to match their skills and interests with employment opportunities and employer needs through the Job Matching and Placement Component of Employment Services (ES) including training incentives and supports. The Employer Liaison may also provide Job Retention assistance, for those clients who need additional coaching and mentoring in order to maintain employment or to make the next step on their career path. The Employer Liaison role may be required to provide part or all aspects of the Assisted Services model.

Career Specialist-2

As part of Employment Services (ES), the Career Specialist will assist individuals with their employment goals and job search who are deemed appropriate for assisted services. Under the job search component of Assisted Services, individuals would access individual assistance in career clarification, goal setting, skills and interest assessment, interview and employment preparation. The Career Specialist may also provide Job Retention assistance, for those clients who need additional coaching and mentoring in order to maintain employment or to make the next step on their career path. The incumbent of this position may be required to provide part or all aspects of the Employment Services model.

LINC Instructor (Peel Centre)

Summary

TCCSA is seeking three LINC Instructors who are passionate about teaching and can make learning interesting and fun for their students. The LINC Instructors are responsible for the provision of instruction in English as a Second Language and life skills required by newcomers to Canada, following a curriculum which is adapted to the needs of newcomers.

Youth Worker ( Ukrainian Speaking)

The Youth Worker position is funded by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The Youth Worker is a member of the multidisciplinary team and works directly with newcomer youth, helping them to build life skills, develop healthy relationships, and make decisions that are right for them. Youth Worker will be involved in projects and activities such as sport and performing arts, maintaining confidential records, and writing reports. This position reports to the Manager of Newcomer Settlement Programs.
