Housing Support Administrator (12 months contract)

JIAS Toronto is currently looking a Housing Support Coordinator to join our team. In this role you will be supporting to JIAS clients in their search for housing. Working independently and in coordination with the Program and Settlement Teams to ensure clients receive guidance and assistance to secure appropriate housing solutions. This is a fulltime contract position for one year.

Settlement Worker, FIS

Mental Health and Wellness Lead

This will be the second Mental Health and Wellness Lead position at NYCH, working with the newcomer community in providing mental health support services, and providing information and support to other staff on wellness and crisis response. This position will also work with the NYCH’s current Mental Health and Wellness Lead to support staff to increase their knowledge and capacity in areas of mental wellness and crisis response.

Financial Empowerment Program Worker

NYCH's Financial Empowerment (FE) Program Team works with low-income newcomers and community residents to increase their financial literacy and to build skills on financial resilience and money management to make informed decisions that will improve their financial well-being. We provide free tax filing services year-round, one-on-one problem solving, access to government financial benefits, and goal setting mentoring sessions. The FE Team also delivers educational workshops on diverse topics such as creating a budget, understanding how credit works, borrow/protecting your money, preventing fraud and scams, and how to plan for financial stability, etc.
