Vaccine Ambassador

In this role, you will be responsible for engaging CCS clients within our locations, as well as researching and partnering with other community organizations and faith-based groups to conduct information sessions, and answer questions related to the benefits of vaccination. Beyond that, you will assess the needs of individuals and provide pragmatic support (for example, helping to book vaccination appointments, navigating the Toronto Public Health website) to assist them.

Settlement Worker – Ukrainian Speaking

The Mennonite New Life Centre (MNLCT) is a vibrant, multi-cultural settlement agency for newcomers to Canada. The Centre provides a variety of settlement services, including information/orientation, language instruction, mental health supports and capacity-building workshops, public education and bridging to employment. The Centre is a tech-forward charity that utilizes technology solutions to meet the needs of its stakeholders. As a result, several of our services and programs are delivered in a hybrid format using various online tools. Our approach to service delivery offers clients and participants a variety of channels to connect and receive the support needed.

Employment Counsellor

Client Reception & Intake

The Client Reception and Intake position are responsible for greeting and welcoming all clients to the Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto. This includes but is not limited to answering phone calls, booking client appointments, following up with clients to confirm appointments, and supporting initial client intake including the administering of the client intake form among other duties. This position is accountable for tracking its productivity and for reporting on its performance based on performance measures as set out by the funder. The role upholds MNLCT values in providing services to all MNLCT stakeholders including prospective and existing participants, funders, committee members, staff, and contractors of MNLCT, employers and community members.

Employment Counsellor

The Employment Counsellor is responsible for assisting the Project Coordinator in executing key components of the project and delivery of customized training models designed to increase participants’ employability. The training model will focus on 5 common essential skills/skills for success identified in various positions within the identified the National Occupation Code (NOC6).

Settlement/Community Support Project Coordinator

As part of an integrated settlement services team, the Settlement /community Support Project Coordinator works with clients who have been assigned by the Community Engagement/Settlement Manage, or referred by counselors. The Settlement/Community Support Project Coordinator outreaches, engages and refers clients who have been affected by war, torture, crimes against humanity and genocide to the CCVT newcomer and community services.

Youth Counsellor

As part of an integrated settlement services team, the Youth Counsellor works with clients (children and youth up to 24 yrs.) who have been assigned by the Manager of Settlement Services or referred by counselors. Through a suite of activities the settlement program supports newcomer survivors in the process of settlement through assessment of their needs and providing information; trauma counselling; referrals; and support to fulfill their basic needs and or to access services including housing; job finding; schooling for clients and their children.

Youth Outreach Worker

As part of an integrated settlement services team, the Youth Outreach Worker works with clients (aged up to 29yrs.) who have been assigned by the Settlement Manager or referred by counselors. The Youth Outreach Worker outreaches, engages and referrals newcomer youth who have been affected by war, torture, crimes against humanity and genocide to the CCVT newcomer and community services.

Administrative Assistant and Outreach Worker

Reporting to the Community Engagement/Office Manager you will be working directly with a team of professionals and Advisory Committee Members to provide administrative support and conduct outreach. You are proficient and you will use social media to disseminate information and to collect information that could be vital to filling the knowledge gap and to inform and schedule training sessions throughout the country as we are passionate about achieving great results and set high expectations of ourselves.
