Youth Worker

FCC is looking for an enthusiastic Youth Worker for our "Stronger, Resilient and Inclusive Communities" project, with partner agencies to combat hate-motivated crimes. The goal of this project is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for minority and at-risk youth to come together and learn self-defences to improve self-confidence, actively participate in discussions on well-being with experienced guest speakers, provide networking opportunities, and group activities on how they can play a role in preventing hate crimes in our communities’ while being each other's support systems.

Project Lead (Gender-Based Violence Project)

ACSA is seeking a dynamic individual to support the ACSA team in responding to the surge capacity to deal with the influx of clients seeking support as a result of increased gender-based violence during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, this Role will help ACSA expand its work on Gender Based Violence (GBV) with newcomer women, non-status women, racialized women, black women, immigrant and refugee women.

Youth Outreach Worker

As part of an integrated settlement services team, the Youth Outreach Worker works with Youth clients (aged up to 29yrs.) who have been assigned by the Settlement Manager or referred by counselors. The Youth Outreach Worker is responsible for promoting engagement of youth and their families to increase access to opportunities.

Gender-Based Violence Lead Counsellor & Trainer

The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Lead Counsellor & Trainer position will adapt and test a GBV-settlement delivery model that will enable increased capacity among NYCH settlement workers to effectively respond to the needs of those experiencing GBV. The lead counsellor & Trainer will conduct GBV capacity assessment of the NYCH settlement workers across the agency, and train, mentor, and support them to integrate GBV services and activities into their daily work.
