Position Title: Program Coordinator, Asylum Claimant Response (ACR)
Organization Structure: Reports to Programs Manager
Job Classification: Coordinator
Job Status: Month-to-Month Contract (3 month minimum anticipated with possible month-to-month extension)
Location: Peel Region
Number of Positions: 1
Wage: $32.00/hour for 40 hours/week
This is NOT a bargaining unit position.

Responsibilities
- Working onsite at hotels in Peel Region, supervising and coordinating the Asylum Claimant Response (ACR) team
- Assist in the hiring and training of contract staff
- Participate in network meetings with government departments, community organizations, and other service providers
- Coordinate with community partners utilizing existing partnerships and establish new connections with local service providers to effectively respond to refugees' needs
- Contribute to the development of organizational frameworks in the following areas: standardize program outcomes, deliver quality and timely program outputs, and research immigration trends and gaps
- Monitor, collect, review, and prepare statistical and narrative reports ensuring accuracy through relevant databases and sources
- Supervise administrative procedures to meet program objectives, HR policies, and any other relevant agreements
- Ensure that staff follow proper professional and ethical conduct when dealing with clients, and offer guidance to ensure quality of service is maintained
- Coach, motivate, and supervise staff performance
- Facilitate regular staff meetings as needed
- Prepare funding proposals as directed by the Programs Manager
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- University degree in Social Work, Management, Psychology, Adult Education, Counselling, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Certificate in project management or PMP designation would be an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- At least three years' of supervisory experience
- Second language is an asset (French, Arabic, Swahili, Farsi, Dari/Pashto, Spanish, or Portuguese)
- Strong knowledge of the social and community services sector, settlement and/or resettlement programs
- Proven management experience with demonstrated capacity to manage a small team in a high performance environment
- Proven ability to lead and promote a positive and professional team culture
- Proven program coordinator experience and demonstrated ability to deliver program outcomes on time and to a high standard
- Ability to work independently and on a flexible schedule
- Strong computer and excellent writing skills
- Valid driver’s license is required, with access to a vehicle and a clean driving record
Other Requirements
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check (completed when an offer is made)
