Job Title: 

Marketing Assistant – LINC (York)  

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

This position combines communications and administrative skills to support the activities for the new immigrants in language training program to become more familiar with the local community and its resources. 

Major Responsibilities: 

• Assist in planning and organizing program functions and events for newcomer adult language learners in LINC and ESL classes, such as the year-end outings, educational visits and field trips 
• Conduct research and develop promotional strategy.  
• Conduct community outreach and programs/services promotion including social media distribution 
• Prepare promotional materials such as program flyers 
• Experience with creating infographic and promotional videos  
• Assist with administrative duties, such as preparing and assisting in summarizing data collected from student surveys 

Required Qualifications: No Preference         

Language required for the position:  English  

Terms and Conditions: 

• Salary: $17.20 per hour 
• Hours of work: 35 hours per week 
• No. of weeks: 8 
• Anticipated Start Date / End Date:  June 16 to August 08, 2025

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; 
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and; 
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations;
