Polycultural offers the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Program and Care for Newcomer Children (CNC).

We have available spots in both morning and evening classes. Please share widely with interested clients!

The LINC program helps you gain the skills needed to communicate your thoughts in various settings like at the doctor’s, the grocery store and even in your workplace. This program focuses on teaching you real-life everyday English so that newcomer clients can easily find their way in Canadian society. It helps you improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, moving you gradually through the Canadian Language Benchmarks from literacy level all the way up to level eight. Joining one of our language classes can help you improve your skills to:

  • Get a job
  • Apply to college or university to study
  • Provide proof you have an adequate knowledge of English to apply for Canadian Citizenship
  • Communicate with people around you with fluency
  • Better understand the community in which you live

Classes are available at our Mississauga location:

  • Full-time: CLB level 0-4 , Mon-Fri, 9am-2pm (in person only, at 2225 Erin Mills Pky. Mississauga)
  • Part-time: CLB 0-4, Mon-Thurs. 6pm-8.15pm ( in person only, at 2225 Erin Mills Pky. Mississauga)

Care for children is offered under the Care for Newcomer Children program to facilitate access to services for newcomers with children.

Newcomers participating in language classes in person, can use these support services while attending class as their children are looked after. This service is available only for the morning classes!
