"Let's Learn from Each Other" is a community-based project aimed at building social connections, promoting mental wellness, and encouraging positive dialogue among women, youth, and men from diverse backgrounds living in North York and Scarborough. This project includes six interactive events held in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Activities Overview:
- Women’s Evening Storytelling Circles (2 sessions):
- Audience: Women living alone or facing social isolation
- Format: Evening gatherings with storytelling, experience sharing, and group dialogue
- Participants: 12 women per session (24 total) + 3 organizers
- Support: Dinner provided by the organization; tea and sweets brought by participants
- Youth & Family Park Gatherings (3 sessions):
- Audience: Youth, their families, and children
- Format: Open-air sessions in local parks including dialogue circles, games, and experience sharing
- Participants: 20 per session (60 total)
- Support: Snacks, juice, water, gift stationery kits, TTC cards
- Men’s Conversation Circle on Non-Violent Homes (1 session):
- Audience: Fathers and male community members
- Format: Dialogue session sharing strategies and real-life stories on building peaceful households
- Participants: 15 men
- Support: Refreshments, TTC cards
