DUTIES

• Prepare and facilitates on-line workshops/resource sector-specific modules to support job search, job matching/development and job maintenance.
• Develop workshop pre-employment materials, plan activities, discussion topics and individual and group exercises as per program’s curriculum.
• Research, procure and maintain updated materials/links related to employment, education, training, relevant legislation/codes and community services on the platform
• Provide assistance, guidance, information and referrals to clients, including referral for client service planning and coordination.
• Confirm full client intake data entry and linkage with Client Information System for service statistics.
• Conduct employer research to establish current personnel practices, business requirements, skill gaps, occupation accreditation procedures and related labour market information to support site development/ expansion.
• Collect client workshop enrolment data and feedback to measure service satisfaction, inform continuous improvement planning and compile service statistical and narrative reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Career and Work diploma or a Social Services diploma with relevant practicum experience.
• 12 months of in-person and online group facilitation experience.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating, developing pre-employment preparation, career planning and job retention material.
• Knowledge of employment programs and services available
• Must have direct experience of Moodle E-learning platform
• Proficiency using web conferencing platforms including MS Teams webinar and Zoom; knowledge of AI job search and career tools
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, email, and other windows environment software.
• Dynamic with excellent presentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Life skills Training Certificate or equivalent certification/experience an asset.
• Sensitive to the needs diverse populations including new immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ and persons with disabilities.
• Flexibility to deliver in person workshops and information sessions as required

Hours of work shall be scheduled in accordance with Article 12.01and shall consist of five (5) seven (7) hour days, Monday to Friday.

LOCATION: 3100 Rutherford Road
DURATION: September 9, 2024 to February 28, 2025
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $31.40 to $32.92 per hour
