A digital flyer for an IWIN (Immigrant Women’s Information Network) webinar titled "Advancing Justice Together: Role of Immigrant Women in Indigenous Solidarity." The webinar is online on March 28, 2025, from 2 PM to 3 PM EST, with a "Free Registration" button at the bottom. It highlights the misinformation immigrants receive about Indigenous peoples and the need for solidarity and meaningful allyship.

When immigrants, refugees, and newcomers arrive in “Canada,” they are provided with racist and misleading information about Indigenous peoples, their histories, and Indigenous ways of living and being, through mainstream channels. Some efforts have been made by settlement organizations to counter these narratives, particularly in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations to centre Indigenous voices, histories and perspectives. However, significant gaps remain in building meaningful relationships between Indigenous peoples and the immigrant communities that now call these Indigenous lands home.

This webinar aims to equip service providers with the knowledge and resources to help newcomers commit to building strong foundations for solidarity work. It will also explore how to support newcomers in moving beyond knowledge to action and meaningful allyship.
