Islam in Conversation- Queer and Trans Muslim Experiences of Faith and Identity Across Borders

OCASI - The Positive Spaces Initiative (PSI) will be hosting the upcoming hybrid community panel event on August 28, 2026 5-8PM EDT.

Join us for an evening of conversation exploring the lived experiences of queer, trans, and nonbinary Muslims across borders. Facilitated by El-Farouk Khaki and Rahim Thawer and moderated by Dr. Golshan Golriz, we will reflect on identity, belonging, and the possibilities of building more inclusive faith communities. Whether you attend in person or online, all are invited to this welcoming space for dialogue, learning, and connection. The evening includes Juma Circle Service with Salat/Namaz.  Allies are welcome! Food will be provided.
