Applications are open for the Nonprofit Technology Leadership Fellowship — a year-long program for senior technology leaders, built in partnership with Okta for Good. Applications close October 13.
Nonprofits are working through a hard combination right now: tight budgets, fast adoption of emerging technologies, and more cyberattacks than any other sector faces. The people who have to navigate all three at once are technology leaders, often without much executive support behind them. This fellowship exists to change that.
What fellows receive
- Foundational educational training, including full access to NTEN’s course catalog, and free enrollment in a new Nonprofit Technology Leadership certificate and any additional professional certificates of your choice
- $15,000 awarded to your organization, in recognition of your time and to build its capacity
- Mentors and advisors recruited across the nonprofit, philanthropy, and technology sectors, offering real-time feedback on your work and guidance on career and strategy
- A cohort of peers and an alumni network of past fellows
- Travel coverage and complimentary registration for the Nonprofit Technology Conference, as well as other sector events
- Opportunities to publish and present — original thought leadership, an NTC session, or a course of your own
Who should apply
You need to be employed full time by a 501(c)(3) or your country’s equivalent. Fellows can be based anywhere in the world.
The program is designed with senior technology executives in mind, but the title matters less than the influence. If your role focuses primarily on technology and you hold strategic responsibility at your organization, you’re a strong candidate.

- Fellowship runs November 2026 through October 2027
- Nonprofit Technology Conference, March 23–26, 2027, in Portland
Most of the learning is self-paced. Cohort and workshop sessions run on Pacific Time.
