About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead our Mosaic Connects Simcoe County program, a community-based mentorship initiative funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. This program aims to create meaningful connections between newcomers and local residents, helping newcomers integrate and thrive in the community.

As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, from recruiting mentors and mentees to managing events and workshops, ensuring the program’s success and impact. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of newcomers while working with a diverse range of community partners.

Key Responsibilities

· Recruitment and Outreach: Lead the recruitment of mentors and mentees, working with local community organizations, settlement agencies, and ethnocultural groups. Conduct screenings, interviews, and training sessions to ensure high-quality matches.

· Program Implementation: Develop and execute a detailed project plan, including mentor-mentee matching, bi-monthly meetups, and ongoing support for participants.

· Community Events and Workshops: Coordinate engaging workshops on key settlement topics (e.g., financial planning, parenting in Canada) and plan cultural exchange activities, including potluck events for mentor-mentee pairs.

· Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with community partners, local government, and ethnocultural associations to enhance program delivery and support participant needs.

· Financial Oversight: Manage the program budget, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Prepare regular financial and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

· Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement a robust evaluation plan to assess program impact, gather feedback, and report outcomes to the EMA Board and Ontario Trillium Foundation.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.

· At least 3 years of experience in program management, with a focus on mentorship, volunteer coordination, or newcomer integration services.

· Proven track record in recruitment and community outreach, with experience working with culturally diverse populations.

· Strong project management skills, including budget oversight and grant compliance.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and build effective partnerships.

· Familiarity with Simcoe County’s community services and ethnocultural landscape is an asset.

Working Conditions

· Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required

· Must adhere to all policies and procedures of EMA
