Privately sponsored refugees often experience unique settlement challenges that differ from those of other newcomer groups. This interactive workshop will explore these experiences while examining how settlement service providers and private sponsors can work together to better support successful settlement outcomes.
Participants will:
- Explore common challenges within the sponsor-newcomer relationship.
- Learn practical strategies for collaboration and communication.
- Increase awareness of settlement and community resources available to sponsors.
- Connect with settlement professionals, frontline workers, and private refugee sponsors during a facilitated networking session.
Whether you are a settlement worker supporting newcomers or a private refugee sponsor, this workshop offers an opportunity to share experiences, learn from others, and build meaningful connections across the sector.
Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues and others within your networks who may be interested in attending.
Registration is open here until July 20th.
