Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) is looking to partner with settlement agencies and provide basic health and safety training to newcomers

Résumé

We are looking to partner with you to deliver basic worker health and safety awareness sessions to newcomers. Using a train-the-trainer approach, we would equip you with the resources, skills and support necessary to deliver these sessions to your clients, at your location.

Many new Canadians are not aware of their health and safety rights and responsibilities; however, we believe your organization can help change this.

We are looking to partner with you to deliver basic worker health and safety awareness sessions to newcomers. Using a train-the-trainer approach, we would equip you with the resources, skills and support necessary to deliver these sessions to your clients, at your location.

This approach builds on your strong relationships with your community and will allow us to reach more new Canadians with this vital information.

The sessions for your newcomer clients are 1 hour long and the training commitment of your staff prior to delivery would be approximately 2.5 hours. Our goal is to complete many of these sessions across the province and help build stronger communities.

If you are interested in this unique opportunity to make Ontario workplaces safer for everyone, please contact Bill Chen at bill.chen@wsps.ca or 416-985-2762. We'd be happy to answer any of your questions.

Sincerely,

Kirsi Henry
