Summary: Reporting to the Manager, this position will be responsible for coordinating the National LINC Curriculum Guidelines project; ensuring that commitments on cost, quality, schedule, scope and time are achieved. The Project lead will collaborate with geographically dispersed stakeholders and provide regular project updates to stakeholders and project team members. The National LINC Curriculum Guidelines project aims to support LINC service providers in the development of LINC language training across a variety of delivery modes. Applicants must reside in Ontario and be legally eligible to work full time in Canada.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage project schedules, track and communicate project status, issues, risks, & decisions to project team members.
  • Manage subcontracting agreements and stakeholder relationships.
  • Review project team assignments for accuracy and correctness, providing direction and oversight as needed, including contractors and IT staff.
  • Lead contracting, including drafting and developing contracts/agreements as needed.
  • Lead project team meetings, promote team building, support alignment & help remove barriers to success.
  • Lead preparation of project related reports, communications and presentations to stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with the Manager, review & report on project expenses & forecast costs;
  • Maintain regular meetings and communication with the Manager to share project progress and to discuss any needs or concerns.
  • Receive, track and code contractors’ invoices, purchase orders.
  • Be accountable for on-time delivery of deliverables.
  • Other duties as needed.
  • Attend organizational meetings & complete professional development activities as required.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Degree in the relevant area.
  • 2+ years direct project management or coordination experience leading training, software or technology projects
  • Able to provide leadership and direction in a virtual team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally and facilitate meetings with varied stakeholders including LINC experts, administrators, developers, vendors, and staff.
  • Strong scheduling skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and cloud-based applications to support virtual teams for purposes such as project coordination, surveys, file storage and collaboration, website development, online conferencing (ex. Azure DevOps, Proofhub, MS Planner/Sharepoint, GDrive)
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience supporting the development of web-based resources is considered an asset.
  • LINC experience is considered an asset.
