Measuring Welcoming Communities Workshop

Description

The workshop will provide practical guidance on how to use the P2P Measuring Welcoming Communities Toolkit for evaluation and future planning. It will include presentations on the toolkit itself and how to use it, experiences of those who have used the toolkit, and guidance on data sources that can be used to assess the indicators provided for the characteristics of a welcoming community. The goal is not only to develop knowledgeable users who can apply the toolkit within their own organizations, but also to help build a cohort of individuals who can provide advice to others interested in using it.

Our great lineup of speakers includes:

  • Leah Hamilton, Vice Dean, Research & Community Relations – Faculty of Business, Communication Studies and Aviation, Mount Royal University
  • Carolyn Amantea, Regional Program Manager – Settlement and Language, Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy
  • Goodnews Oshiogbele, Researcher, University of Western Ontario
  • Alina Sutter, Research Associate, Pathways to Prosperity Partnership

This workshop is being conducted in English. Closed captioning in French will be provided.
