This webinar will deepen understanding of Indigenous history and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action that are relevant to youth work, while also exploring the unique challenges Indigenous youth face in both urban and on-reserve contexts. Participants will learn about inclusive services and practices that foster cultural identity, belonging, and resilience, as well as ways to build meaningful connections between Indigenous and newcomer youth through shared initiatives. The session will also showcase practical examples of reconciliation and allyship in action, with a focus on youth engagement and community leadership.
