This pilot grant, which was launched by the Houssian Foundation in 2025, aims to advance gender-based safety across Canada with grants of up to $25,000 for organizations whose work supports safety for women and gender-diverse communities.
Safety for women and gender-diverse people means living free from violence, discrimination, and harm in all forms—physical, emotional, and systemic. It ensures autonomy over one’s body, access to supportive resources, and the ability to participate fully in society.
Grants provided by the Daylight Fund aim to support this important work across our country.
