This brief toolkit provides some context about the current crisis in Ukraine and will assist providers in helping newcomers connect with the Ukrainian-Canadian community and understand the immigration options available to them.
We provide free individual counselling and support as well as workshops at Skills for Change, Wellness and Support program. Individual counselling sessions are provided over the phone, and workshops are facilitated online. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada - IRCC produced an animated video to provide refugees resettling to Canada with an overview of what to expect, including services and supports that will be provided to help them get settled in Canada.
This toolkit was developed in an effort to assist sponsors and healthcare providers access health information quickly and efficiently in order to support refugees. It serves as a guide to help connect refugees to appropriate and timely health services and information. The information in this toolkit was compiled from various websites and community resources.
