A digital flyer for an IWIN (Immigrant Women’s Information Network) webinar titled "Beyond Language Access: Creating Culturally Responsive Services for GBV Programming." The webinar is online on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 12:00 PM (Eastern Time), with a "Register Now" button at the bottom. This webinar aims to help service providers incorporate cultural responsiveness and safety to build trust, enhance accessibility, and better support immigrant women experiencing GBV.

About the Webinar
Services for immigrant and newcomer women in Canada have expanded, but too often rely on existing frameworks that assume universality. This overlooks the complex realities shaped by culture, migration, and intersecting identities.

This gap is especially critical in GBV programming. While translation and multilingual services address linguistic barriers, they cannot bridge cultural or contextual divides. Without frameworks developed with and informed by communities, GBV programs risk being inaccessible, irrelevant, or alienating.

This webinar will equip service providers with strategies to:
✔ Design culturally grounded and contextually relevant GBV programs
✔ Apply an intersectional lens to better serve immigrant and newcomer women
✔ Move beyond translation to create truly responsive services
