Bridge to Healthcare Alternatives Online
If you are an internationally educated healthcare professional and looking for a job in a non-regulated health care field. Then join us for 3-weeks to learn the skills and strategies for finding work and be able to connect with employers and professionals in your field.
The Bridge to Healthcare Alternatives (B2HCA) is a free-of-charge program that helps internationally educated healthcare professionals with alternative career paths to support their healthcare experience, and to gain entry into the Canadian labour market.
The B2HCA program is delivered online and it features healthcare best practices, patient care, medical terminology and communications; forums to network; guest speakers; mentorships; and job search supports. In addition, the participants receive industry-specific certificate training in blended SFA, BLS, AED, and WHMIS at no cost.
Eligibility requirements for the program are as follows:
- Permanent Resident, Convention Refugee, Landed Immigrant or Live-In Caregiver
- Internationally Educated Professional with a recognized degree in healthcare or related field
- Have a minimum of two years of work experience in healthcare outside of Canada
• English Language Level equal to CLB7.
