Understanding the Challenges of Adaptation, Well-Being and Mental Health

This webinar, presented by the Huza Trait D'Union team and primarily intended for staff working in educational institutions, aims to foster a better understanding of the needs and realities experienced by newly arrived students. It will also explore concrete strategies to support them and promote their adaptation, well-being, and mental health at the start of the school year.

The webinar will cover, among other things:

  • The main issues and needs of newly arrived students upon their entry into school;
  • Factors that may influence their adaptation, well-being and mental health;
  • Signs of vulnerability and situations that may require special attention;
  • Concrete approaches and strategies to support students and their families;
  • The role of workers in institutions and collaboration with the school environment; and
  • Suggestions for promoting a sense of belonging, safety and integration of students at school.
