Mother Tongue: Community Kitchen for LGBTQ Newcomers

Our monthly Community Kitchen, Mother Tongue, is a space to connect within and across communities! These social events are a chance to connect with other 2S-LGBTQIA+ newcomers, the wider 2S-LGBTQIA+ community, as well as allies from different cultural and linguistic groups.

● Speak your mother tongue in a safe, affirming space

● Exchange cooking skills, stories, and laughs

● Build community and connections to social supports by meeting members of the wider 2S-LGBTQIA+ community and affirming members of different cultural and linguistic communities

We provide free ingredient kits to participants! Want to lead a Mother Tongue session? You can join us as a guest if you are not a newcomer or eligible for this program.
