The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) helps reduce taxes owing, but it is also a is key disability benefit that unlocks other important financial supports, including the Registered Disability Savings Plan, and Canada Disability Benefit—which will provide up to $200/month for people with disabilities.

Cynthia works as Program Director for Disability Alliance BC/Disability Alliance Canada. Alongside partner organizations, these programs have supported thousands of people with disabilities across British Columbia with income tax filing and related benefits including the Disability Tax Credit/Registered Disability Savings Plan. She holds an MA in English Literature with specific interest in Asian Diasporic Literature. She sits of the Board of Directors for Plan Institute and is a community member for Emily Carr’s Research Ethics Board.
