Funded by the Federal Government of Canada under Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), CICS is recruiting candidates to fill the following summer youth employment position in our Markham location.

Job Title:Community and Social Service Worker
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- develop and facilitate programs for children and youth with special needs, focusing on enhancing their digital skills to help equip themselves with life skills and social skills.
-introducing children and youth to AI and understand cyber safety.
- provide support for children and youth with special needs, such as one-on-one emotional support
- assist with counselling needs and assessments
- assist with creating individualized programming for children with special needs
- assist and support the programs through program planning and execution of the individual/group activities
-ensure the safety of children
-teach and coach children through tasks and activities that empower them to be successful
-maintain positive and sustainable professional relationships with internal and external partners, including parents and children
-communicate and interact with clients, staff, and community partners
-support our social media strategies and digital platforms
-communicate with team members and participate in regular meetings to plan and discuss programming
Required Qualifications: Post-Secondary
Language required for the position: English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Terms and Conditions:
- Salary: $17.60 per hour
- Hours of work: 35 hours per week
- No. of weeks: 8
- Anticipated Start Date / End Date: June 29 to August 21, 2026
