Manager, Settlement Services

(Full-time, Permanent)

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status. 

We are searching for a dynamic and dedicated full-time Manager, Settlement Services to manage the development and delivery of relevant and efficient services which address the needs of the newcomer community. This position includes managing the SIP location, which provides in-person settlement services within the community.

What you will be doing: 

  • Plan, develop and supervise all aspects of the settlement programs 
  • Manage program delivery to meet program outcomes and contractual agreements
  • Develop and maintain service delivery partnerships with other community service providers in support of program activities
  • Plan for program development and growth including writing proposals and funding submissions
  • Represent the program at service networks, community meetings and conferences
  • Devise and implement the program’s outreach strategy
  • Ensure collection and entry of service data into an agency database, OCMS and ensure the reporting of all relevant data into iCARE on a regular basis
  • Monitor the program budget and prepare monthly financial reports 
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical and program reports as required
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers to ensure effective delivery of services and compliance with all required policies and procedures
  • Represent CCS at service networks, community meetings and conferences
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the location

What are we looking for? 

  • University degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience, preferably in settlement sectors
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in staff supervision and evaluation
  • Experience managing a site or facility
  • Knowledge of local systems, services and resources relevant to newcomer settlement and employment
  • Experience developing hybrid service delivery models
  • Demonstrated budget experience including maintaining cashflow and preparing financial reports 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills required to work with clients, team members and the general public
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team setting, and independently
  • Fluency in a second language relevant to the community is an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in-person including weekends

Compensation: $38.74 to $ $43.12 per hour based on experience 

Location: 3227 Eglinton Ave E. 

Hours: 35 hrs/week; must be available to work weekend shift, occasional evenings and overtime as required
