This is a part time, non union contract position with 22 in person hours per week, Monday to Friday, requiring daytime in person work and occasional evening hours to support online classes. The position is based in Brampton and requires travel to various locations across Peel Region.
DUTIES
- Coordinate and oversee the day to day delivery of the digital literacy program for Ontario Works clients in Peel Region.
- Plan, schedule, and manage in person and online digital literacy classes and workshops.
- Travel to various program sites across Peel Region to support and oversee in person course delivery, as required.
- Work occasional evenings to support online digital literacy classes and program delivery, as required.
- Conduct client intake, eligibility screening, and needs assessments to ensure appropriate placement and support.
- Maintain program waitlists, registrations, attendance records, and client files.
- Support clients with limited digital skills to access and use technology, including email, Microsoft Teams, and online learning platforms.
- Coordinate, support, and provide guidance to Digital Literacy Instructors to ensure consistent, high quality program delivery.
- Coordinate the distribution, tracking, and return of program devices.
- Lead outreach and promotion to support client recruitment and program awareness.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to support referrals and service coordination.
- Ensure accurate collection, entry, and maintenance of client and program data in CIS and SharePoint.
- Monitor program performance, outcomes, attendance, and participant feedback, and implement improvements as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of funder reports and supporting documentation.
- Perform other related duties as required to support program delivery and funder expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Community College diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience coordinating a skills training or digital literacy program.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, as required.
- Strong coordination, organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Proficiency with internet use, email, and Windows based environments, including Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team based setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in an additional language is considered an asset.
- Experience delivering information sessions in both virtual and in person settings.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to various program locations across Peel Region.
- Must be fully vaccinated or have a valid exemption on human rights grounds. COSTI reserves the right to request documentation supporting an exemption.
