Dear Members and Colleagues,
The recent cuts to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) are placing unprecedented strain on the vital services you deliver every day. As you navigate these complex operational challenges, your experiences must not go unheard.
That is why OCASI is conducting a sector-wide survey of immigrant and refugee-serving organizations. We want to turn your front-line realities into a powerful tool for advocacy. We are not just gathering data—we are building the evidence-based case to defend the immigrant and refugee-serving sector, demand funding stability, restore partnerships, protect community workers, and safeguard the newcomers who rely on us and make Ontario thrive.
Why Your 10–15 Minutes Matters:
- Advocacy and Proof for Policy: We will use this aggregated data to show decision-makers and funders the direct, real-world consequences of these cuts.
- Strength in Collective Voice: A strong, province-wide response will make our sector's message impossible to ignore.
- Strict Confidentiality: Your individual organizational data will be fully protected and anonymized. Our combined impact will be public and loud.
- Flexible Preparation: Need to gather your data first? Click here to preview the questions before starting the survey.
Survey Guidelines:
- Eligibility: This survey is strictly for non-profit, immigrant- and refugee-serving organizations in Ontario that receive full or partial IRCC funding.
- Submission Limit: To ensure data integrity, please coordinate internally to submit only one response per agency - ideally completed by the Executive Director or a senior designate.
Please submit your insights by June 30, 2026.
Together, let’s ensure the immigrant- and refugee-serving sector remains the resilient backbone of Ontario’s communities.
