The Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM) is pleased to share that it is launching Calls for Applications (CfAs) for the Black Youth Action Plan (BYAP) Economic Empowerment program at the end of August 2026. The BYAP Economic Empowerment program aims to remove systemic barriers and strengthen economic outcomes for Black youth, communities and businesses.
This notice is intended to help your organization prepare for the upcoming application process and support timely submission once the BYAP application portal opens at the end of August.
Start by:
1. Registering your organization’s information with Transfer Payment Ontario (TPON) (if your organization is not already registered). Go to Get funding from the Ontario government | ontario.ca and select “Log in to Transfer Payment Ontario”. If your organization is already registered with TPON, please ensure your information is up to date.
2. Gathering proof of legal entity status (i.e., certificate of incorporation or certificate of business registration) and begin reaching out to individuals and/or organizations to help secure two (2) letters of support that can speak to your organization’s experience, expertise and/or capacity to deliver initiatives for the benefit of Black children, youth, and young adults.
