South Asian Canadians for Gender Equality (SAGE) is a new Greater Toronto Area (GTA)-wide network that is being launched to help organizations serving South Asians to work collectively to advance gender equality and eliminate gender-based discrimination and violence in the South Asian Canadian community.
Organizations across the GTA are invited to join the network to exchange knowledge, build capacity, and co-develop tools and strategies that will strengthen the sector’s ability to serve diverse South Asian communities.
Members of SAGE will gain:
- access to a GTA-wide network of organizations addressing gender equality within South Asian communities
- opportunities for collaboration on research, resource development, and advocacy initiatives
- access to training and workshops tailored to South Asian cultural contexts and their organization’s practical needs
- visibility and recognition: members’ work will be recognized and highlighted across various social media and communication channels, increasing their visibility and recognition
- influence in shaping regional conversations on gender equality and informing culturally relevant policy recommendations.
