OCASI’s Women’s Caucus invites you to Building Belonging: Inclusive Housing Development in Practice, a webinar exploring how community organizations are creating housing that supports people to settle, belong, and thrive.

Hear from Chelsea Kirkby, VP Strategic Initiatives & Program Development at YWCA Hamilton, about the practical steps involved in developing and operating shelter, transitional, and affordable housing. Chelsea will share lessons from securing funding through to welcoming residents, with a focus on trauma-informed design, accessibility, and spaces that meet diverse needs.

Valerian Marochko, Executive Director of the London Cross Cultural Learner Centre, will introduce Doorways to Dreams, a mixed-income housing development that brings affordable homes together with wrap-around supports for newcomers and other Londoners. His presentation will explore how housing can create pathways to opportunity and strengthen communities.

Join us to learn from both organizations’ experiences and consider what inclusive housing development can look like in practice.

We hope you’ll join us!

This webinar is open exclusively to OCASI member agencies
