SWIS Case Studies and Success Stories
Excited to invite SWIS workers to the upcoming virtual professional learning session:
Please save the dates in your calendars! Session outline is included below, and we hope you’ll join us for these engaging and insightful learning opportunities.
The Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) program plays a key role in supporting newcomer students and families as they navigate the education system and settle in Canada. This session will highlight its impact through real examples from schools and communities, showing how SWIS services support student well-being, family engagement, and long-term integration.
Participants will share success stories and reflect on the meaningful impact of their work. The session will also include interactive case discussions, where attendees collaborate on practical solutions to challenges using structured approaches and strong school partnerships.
Finally, the workshop will emphasize the importance of qualitative data, exploring how stories and case studies strengthen reporting and showcase the value of SWIS programming.
