Business Hub Animator Consultant

Position Summary 

The Business Hub Animator Consultant will play a pivotal role in bringing energy, resources, and strategic connections to the Delta Business Incubation Hub. This consultant will work closely with emerging Black youth entrepreneurs (ages 17–30), helping to animate the physical Hub space through networking events, workshops, peer engagement activities, and exposure to real-world business environments. The  consultant will also build bridges between youth entrepreneurs and established  businesses, mentors, and business ecosystem partners. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and deliver engaging in-person and virtual activities to activate the Business Hub space (e.g., mixers, pop-ups, mentor sessions). 

• Facilitate meaningful connections between youth entrepreneurs and established businesses across the GTA. 

• Identify and recruit local business mentors, guest speakers, and partners for collaboration. 

• Support youth-led businesses in showcasing their products/services through curated events. 

• Develop tools and strategies to foster peer-to-peer learning and community among Hub participants. 

• Work with the Business Hub Coordinator to align activities with program goals and participant needs. 

• Provide light-touch coaching or referrals to relevant support services and business development opportunities.

Qualifications 

• Proven experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, or  community animation. 

• Strong connections to the Black business community in the GTA. • Experience working with youth or young adult populations, particularly Black and  racialized communities. 

• Excellent communication and event facilitation skills. 

• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and build relationships quickly. • Familiarity with youth entrepreneurship ecosystems and barriers to access. • Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends. 

Contract Details 

• This is a part-time consultant position (approximately 14 hours per week). • Duration: September 2025 – March 2026 

• Hybrid role with on-site engagement required at Delta Family’s Business  Incubator Hub.
