This is a part-time non-union contract position scheduled to work approximately 40 hours (5 hours per week) for 8 weeks. Contract extension dependent on additional cohorts being offered. Classes will be delivered on-line or in-person. (Schedule will be contingent on student registration). Candidates must be available to work one of the following schedules:
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (online delivery) OR Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (in-person delivery)
DUTIES
- Prepare, implement, and instruct a modular course focused on:
- Professional workplace communication (email writing)
- Digital office tools (Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Google Workspace)
- AI tools for workplace productivity (ChatGPT, Copilot)
- Spreadsheet and basic data handling skills.
- Workplace productivity strategies and task management.
- Conduct a learner needs assessment at the beginning of each course cycle.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with learner skill levels and course outcomes.
- Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction using simulations, workplace scenarios, and applied tasks.
- Integrate AI tools into instruction to support writing, communication, and productivity skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner abilities and backgrounds.
- Prepare course materials, handouts, simulations, and digital learning resources.
- Monitor, document, and assess learner participation, progress, and achievement.
- Conduct course evaluations and learner feedback surveys; recommend improvements to curriculum and delivery.
- Communicate regularly with the program manager regarding progress, challenges, and updates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of one (1) year experience teaching adult learners in digital literacy, office skills, or workplace training.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive)
- Virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Experience using or teaching AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) considered a strong asset.
- Adult education certification or equivalent teaching qualification an asset.
- Microsoft Office or other digital training certification considered an asset.
- Proven ability to deliver instruction through:
- Demonstrations
- Guided practice
- Hands-on, task-based learning activities.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learner skill levels and learning needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working in multicultural and diverse learning environments.
**Hours of work shall be scheduled in accordance with Article 12.01 and shall consist of four (4) three (3) hour days, Monday to Thursday.
DURATION: June 23, 2026, to August 15, 2026
SALARY RANGE: $31.52 per hour
