Your Role

  • Acts as first point of contact for Centralized Access to Housing and Support Services within Starling Housing Resource Centres.
  • Triages clients’ inquiries and information regarding housing services within Starling. Provides a high level of customer service, and administrative support to identify and refer to appropriate Starling housing program and service or referral to external services in community.
  • Provides administrative support to housing clients, staff, and programs throughout multiple locations.
  • Utilizes Centralized Housing and Support Services triage tool along with HIFIS database to determine and direct households appropriately to internal and external resources.
  • Develops and maintains a variety of documents, including forms and program manuals.
  • Responsible for the accurate data entry of confidential client information into a variety of tracking and databases.
  • Works in alignment with the Agency’s commitment to equity to further create a sense of belonging at the Agency.

Your Talents and Experience

  • A college certificate or diploma in Office Administration and minimum two years administrative experience or equivalent education/experience combination.
  • Experience or knowledge of working in a social services environment is preferred.
  • Able to adhere to a high standard of confidentiality with respect to client information. Knowledge and ability to utilize MS Office, Teams and SharePoint is essential.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Great Plains is a definite asset.
  • Strong communication, comprehension, and written skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is an asset.
