Learning Opportunities

The professional development e-learning course, provides comprehensive information on the historical and political context of immigration to Canada.

Date: October 1, 2026 – January 30, 2027 (Self-Enrol and Start learning)

Registration deadline: January 15, 2027 

The Nonprofit AI Skilling Program is the first nonprofit-built program of its kind, created with the sector, for the sector. More than 30 nonprofit organizations across Canada shaped it, spanning different communities, work areas, sizes and levels of digital and AI readiness, signalling that this program was not built in isolation. It reflects the questions, challenges and responsibilities nonprofits are already navigating as AI becomes part of how we work. 

The series focuses on building organizational and service capacity, enabling GCOs to sustainably support their communities while addressing systemic barriers and delivering inclusive, culturally responsive services.

Job Opportunities

The LINC Communication Class is a program to teach newcomers English with an emphasis on practical communication skills. 

The Bilingual Coordinator, Community Education – Positive Spaces Initiative will be responsible for delivering training and resources for settlement sector professionals to enable them to effectively recognize the needs of 2SLGBTQIA+ newcomer clients and create inclusive spaces within their agencies. Additionally, the Bilingual Coordinator will implement an outreach and promotion strategy to strengthen relationships with and amongst organizations serving Francophone 2SLGBTQIA+ newcomers across the province.

In an era of disruption and intersecting crises, navigating significant technological, economic, social and political change can be daunting. There are many pressures on nonprofits, but there are equally as many innovative solutions emerging from our sector.
